Happy Birthday Little Bubba!!
Go Caleb, it's your birthday, we're gonna party like it's your birthday, we're gonna sip...sorry, I get carried away sometimes.
Well, if you haven't figured it out by now, today is my little brother's first birthday! Hooray! That means we'll be having a party, and cake, and ice cream, and presents...darn, mom just told me that Caleb gets the presents. Oh well, I can still play with them -- someone has to show him how to do it, right?
Can you believe that a whole year has gone by since my brother was born? I can't! Seems like he was just a little pink, wrinkley thing that fussed and cried and spit up all the time. I thought I'd never get a full nights rest again. Now, here he is almost like a mini-me. Ok, maybe a mini-daddy. Mommy is always saying how he's a spitting image of Dad. (I sure am glad I take after mom in the looks department. ;-) Anyway, he's been walking for a while now, and babbles on about all sorts of stuff. He even likes to get down on the floor and rough-house with me. I can't wait until he learns to throw the football and ride a bike, we're going to have soooo much fun!
Well, I better get off the computer before my teacher catches me.
Peace.

I Am A Big Brother!
That's right, I am now a big brother! My little brother, Caleb, was born on November 5th. So he's been hanging around for nearly 3 weeks now. Having someone else here with me, mommy, and daddy, is really taking some getting used to. Don't get me wrong, I think he is great, but now it seems like no one has much time to play with ME. :-(
Anyway, enough whining for now. I did get to go to my first
Mavericks game last week with Daddy. They beat the Trailblazers, and Steve Nash had a triple double -- which dad says is a big deal. All in all it was a very fun
experience.
Well, I've got to head out to school.

Hey You!
Yes you! Have you been wondering what I've been up to since my last post?
Too bad, I am going to tell you anyway ;-).
The holidays went well, we visited all of the usual suspects. I got a lot of cool toys and educational stuff -- drum set, rc cars, Leap Frog educational stuff, a t-ball set, and much more. This past month I was moved up to the 3-year old class at my school. In case you weren't paying attention, I won't turn 3 until the latter half of July. So far, so good. Mommy and Daddy were a little concerned that I might be overwhelmed in the new class, but I'm not. Besides, I was really bored in my old class.
I better get back to bed before Mommy catches me on the computer.

Monthly Update
Just because I haven't blogged in a while, it doesn't mean that nothing is going on. Let's see, what's happened since my last post...hmm...
We went to Austin to visit Aunt Tracy and Uncle Steven. While we were there, we celebrated Daddy's 30th birthday. Granny and Poppy were also there. I got to meet some new friends, too - Travis, Jamie, and Geoff. Oh yeah, and Major. Daddy went to the
Texas football game. They whupped mommy's alma mater (
North Texas).
I've been to Ce Ce's house a couple of times...swimming, feeding the donkey's, etc.
We rented a house and I will be starting at a new daycare in the next couple of weeks (we don't actually move until the later half of October).
Well, the dinner bell is ringing, so peace out!

Thank You!!!
Thanks to everyone for coming to my birthday party on Saturday. I had a great time! I really enjoyed seeing everyone, and am having a great time playing with all the great new toys.
By the way, remember that race car bed I mentioned a couple of days ago? Well mommy and daddy helped me put it together yesterday and I slept in it for the first time last night. At first, it was kind of weird...I mean I'd never been able to get up out of bed on my own before. So, the first couple of times that mommy and daddy put me to bed, I was out of it before they could get to the door. Finally, I realized what the deal was and stayed put, much to their relief.

One Year Markers
I overheard daddy mention this last night...
It has been one year today since he was laid off by SBI (the Utah company that took over several marchFIRST offices, including the Denver office where daddy worked - after promising just a couple of weeks earlier, when they took over, that there would be no layoffs...anyway that office is now closed completely).
One year ago today was also the day before my first birthday, that means tomorrow is birthday number 2!
We are having a huge party tomorrow over at CiCi's house, I can't wait. Everyone will be there. Hopefully you will too.

Granny and Poppy
Grandma & Poppy went home this morning. I was sad to see them go. I really enjoyed their company. I was up eating when they left for the airport, so I was able to see them one last time.
Yesterday I met my nanny. I think I am going to like her. I played possum and acted like I was sleeping while she held me.

Aunt Tracy and Uncle Steven Are Here
A big Texas-sized welcome to Colorado for Aunt Tracy and Uncle Steven! They flew in today, and I am soooo happy to finally meet them!
Uncle Steven was telling me all about the Great State of Texas and the Texas Longhorns. I can't wait to visit that place, and see these Longhorns! Daddy tells me that he might have tickets to so the Longhorns play football against the Colorado Buffaloes. I sure hope I get to go!
Aunt Tracy is so nice. She even fed me my bottle minutes after meeting me.
Boy oh boy, we have so much planned to do while they are here. We'll be driving up to Boulder to visit myGreat-Aunt Laurel, and driving to Breckenridge to visit Daddy and Aunt Tracy's cousin, Stuart.
Tonight, we all had dinner at home and Zach joined us too. It was lots of fun. Well, I am getting sleepy now, so till tomorrow...bye.
-Jacob
p.s. For those of you that don't know, Texas is the greatest state in the Union, and part of Colorado, which ranks a close 2nd or 3rd, was once part of the Republic of Texas. Why do you think so many of us Texans feel so at home in Colorado?

Whew!
What a week!
To think, one week ago today, I was so rudely taken from my nice warm home. A home that provided my every need.
Well, life isn't so bad on the outside. I've met lots of really great people! Let's see, there was this lady named Cindy, she kept taking my picture while I was nude. I am supposed to call her something like Grandma, I think. I met Paul, and Brandon (I heard someone say "Uncle B"), Joey (supposed to call him Grandpa), Sandy, Theresa, Laurel, Stuart, Phil (another Grandpa, how confusing!) [Editor's Note - Just wait!], Gay, Mia (Auntie Mia?), Zach, and Alisa (not sure who these two belong to, but they seemed to know Daddy pretty well). Ah, that brings me to the two people I have seen the most of this past week. Mommy and Daddy. They both seem really nice, and Mommy is providing for me just like when I was inside, well almost. Anyway, they brought me home from the hospital last Sunday, and I have been looking out for them ever since. They really like making funny faces at me...I wonder if they realize how silly they look? Oh, one more thing before I go, I met two really different looking people. Molly and Denton. They live with me, Mommy, and Daddy. They are cool too. Molly likes to lick my face when I am unhappy, and Denton, just comes up and sniffs me, then walks off. I think he is moody.
Well, time for some food, and my diaper changed.....stay tuned!
