I am just chillin' at Dad's house playing video games and seeing what the weather is going to do. Dad says it's freezing cold out and that it is icing a little. Guess that means no playing outside today. Anyway, back to my video games. Oh, hey...I am good, and so is Caleb.

Summer Update
Wow, how time flies when you're having fun! I can't believe 8 months have passed since my last post.

Well, as you know, I am a big brother now. Caleb turned 8 months old this month. He sure is getting big, and he can crawl and pull up on stuff! Pretty soon he'll be walking. That will be so much fun!

Back in April, we bought a house. It isn't brand new, but it is close. Now I've got lots of room to play, inside and out. The yard is a little bigger than what we had in the last house, but it is in much better shape -- there is actually more grass than bare spots, much better for playing on. We've also got a neighborhood pool, park, basketball court, tennis courts, and lots of trails. I really like it.

My birthday is coming up soon. I'll be 4. That means next year (2005) I start real school. By the way, my school is located real close to our house. Can you imagine, me in school? Doesn't seem that long ago that I was sitting here typing in my diaper and sucking on a bottle ;-).

Baseball and Apple Pie
Hi everyone. Just checking in. I had a great weekend, hope you all did too. On Friday, I went to the Texas Rangers home opener with my dad and Zaydee (for those of you not in the know, that is my grandfather). We had a great time, even though the Rangers lost, again.

This morning, Granny stopped by for a quick visit. We had tons of fun playing with my Hot Wheels cars.

The only thing that could have made this weekend better would have been a couple of victories by the Texas Longhorns men's and women's basketball teams. I am sad about the whole thing, but I am happy that they both made it to the Final Four. Maybe next year they will win it all.

Off to bed I go.

Goldmember
Hey there! How are you? Great!

I watched Goldmember this evening, it was sooo funny! I especially like the scene where Fat Bastard is taking a dump and then tosses his sumo "diaper" into the laundry cart where Austin Powers is hiding. ROFL...see? I can't stop.

What else is new? Well, daddy went to Baltimore for a conference last week, so it was just me and mommy around the ol'homestead. We had a great time, but I was sure happy to see daddy when he came in late Friday night.

The other day, he was telling me about the aquarium in Baltimore. They have all sorts of cool stuff, from dolphins and sharks, to stingrays, turtles, poisonous frogs, and pot-belly seahorses. He said he is going to take me to an aquarium closer to us in the near future -- I can't wait!

Well, I better log off before daddy catches me, I am supposed to be in bed.

Mommy And Daddy Return!
I am so happy that my mommy and daddy are back from Mexico! They've been back for almost a week, and I would've posted this sooner, but I was too busy soaking up all of their hugs and kisses. Between me going to Brownwood on Halloween (and staying until Nov. 4th) and them being gone from the 3rd to the 7th, I hadn't seen them in a week. I missed them so much, and I know they missed me.

While they were gone, I stayed at my house with my Granny. We had a lot of fun, but we both got a little sick - her worse than me.

Tooth Troubles
Hi everyone.

I hurt my tooth last night. My two front teeth on top. I slipped in the bathtub and hit my mouth on the side of the tub. It really really really hurt. I feel bad, because I kept mommy and daddy up half the night crying. It just wouldn't stop hurting. I went to the dentist this morning for x-rays. Everything looks ok. I jammed them back up into the gum pretty good. The doc said I can't have hard foods for about a week. Also, we have to keep an eye out for them abscessing.

The Circus Is In Town
Hey Y'all! Sup?

I am going to the circus tomorrow (oh, is it that late already? ok, going to the circus today). We are going to the second to last show in Fort Worth. I've never been, so I am super excited. Elephants, tigers, clowns, hot dogs, cotton candy -- boy oh boy!

In other news, I've been wearing regular underwear at school for the better part of the last three weeks, and doing real well. My goal is to be in them full time by next winter (2003), so that I can start taking ski lessons (you must be at least 3 and out of diapers). I think I will make it no sweat.

Got to get some sleep...busy day tomorrow.

It's My Birthday (Soon)
Hellooooooo!

I've missed you guys...really really. I am having a birthday soon! I am going to be 2 years old. Mommy and daddy took me shopping for some presents this past weekend. I thought I saw them put some stuff in our basket, but I haven't seen it since then, oh well.

Did y'all know that my vocabulary is getting to be pretty big? I am even putting together simple sentences (and sometimes some complex ones too, when daddy helps me out).

If you are curious as to what I'd like for my birthday, I'd really dig having my own donkey :-).

How you doing?

Me? I'm fine. Just living the good life over here in Cowtown. Mommy and daddy went out of town this month. They went to San Francisco. Daddy went for a conference and mommy went because daddy did. I stayed home with Granny. We had a great time. Then she got sick, and I was kinda scared. I did what I could to make her feel better, but in the end, her mommy came over to stay with me while she went to the hospital. She's all better now, thank goodness.

Bad Dog!
Yes, it is true...I got into a fight with a dog over the weekend.

While on a short but busy trip to Dallas with Mommy and Daddy, we stopped in at my Grandpa Phil's house for a visit. All was going well, and I was having great fun playing with their dog, when she decided to bite me. Well, before I could dot both of her eyes with my lightning quick fists, my Aunt Mia snatched me from the floor and then Mommy snatched me from Aunt Mia and then Daddy snatched me from Mommy. Those women...boy were they going crazy, Dad was cool, calm, and collected, and ordered us to the Emergency Room.

So here I am, blood streaming down my face, and I have to leave. What ever happened to getting my turn? When do I get to take care of the dog? All I can say is this; dog watch your back, because soon I will be bigger than you and Aunt Mia, and faster and stronger too...you can't hold me back, you can't stop me, I'm coming after you...

Walk This Way
I am soooo pumped on this walking stuff!!! Not only does it make Mommy and Daddy happy, but I can see so much more of the world when I am standing up and walking around. For example, I didn't know that there were more drawers in the bathroom...I thought there was only one...I never could figure out why they would put that one so low if it was the only one...now I know ;-)

Grandpa Joey and his family are coming up sometime next week. They are camping, but will visit with us for a little bit. He is so much fun!

Does anyone have any ideas about what me and Mommy should get Daddy for his first Father's Day? If you do, please email Mommy.

Big D
Well I am in Big D visiting family.

The plane ride was a bit rough. I really didn't like having to sit still for 2 hours, so I didn't ;-)

In case you are not a lucky family member who will be seeing me at some point over the weekend, let me shed some light on my recent days and weeks.

Actually, there is not too much to say, aside from the fact that I am practically walking. Yes, I still crawl alot, but when I can get to my feet (still need a little help with this), look out because I am heading your way on my feet and legs only, no hands or arms involved.

Busy Busy
Ok. I am back. Where have I been, you ask? Well, let's just say that I've been real busy. Busy with what, you ask? Well, let's see now...I've learned to crawl (forward), I've learned to pull myself up on everything I come in contact with, I've learned to crawl up stairs (no, not down yet), I've learned a few more syllables (ma, da, do, ba, and a few others that I didn't know I could do, and my vowels), I've been learning to eat all kinds of new foods like peas, and green beans, and squash, and carrots, and mashed potatoes, I've learned that the apartment was not my home forever, and that I love my new house.

I think that about covers it, at least for now.

I'll post again before another of couple months, I promise.

Also, daddy hopes to have one big file of the whole thing soon...also, very important that you watch these in order.

Post Thanksgiving Update
How long has it been? Wow, over a month. That's a long time when you are less than 5 months old.

What's been happening, you ask?

Lot's.

We went to Dallas and Brownwood for Thanksgiving...the drive was not much fun, but once we got where we where going things were great! I got to see lots of people, some I had met when Mommy and I went to Dallas at the end of August. Mommy & Daddy, showed me around Dallas, including all the places they used to go when they lived there.

More recently, I have started rolling over. Right now, it is from my belly to my back, but I am getting close to going from my back to my belly. I think that I might try crawling in the near future. Oh, I almost forgot...in the past week or so, I've started eating rice cereal with a spoon, instead of having it mixed with my formula in a bottle. It's not bad. Of course, what else have I tried?

Time for dinner, got to go.

It's Cold Up Here
Ok. I know, this is getting ridiculous. How can you be expected to keep up with what's going on in my life if I don't post messages?

You're not.

Truth is, I've been busy and Daddy's been relocating the site to a new host with more room for all of my pictures and video clips.

It is snowing today. The roads, the grass, everything is covered in snow. Daddy set up a webcam. Sometimes it points outside, sometimes it points at my crib, or somewhere else in the apartment.

We got about 4 inches of snow last Sunday, and a lot of the snow stuck around all week long. We made it above freezing once this week, and it won't get much warmer over the next week.

Don't worry, Mommy bundles me up good.

We are all looking forward to seeing everyone in Dallas next week.

How long has it been? I've been super slacker lately.

Guess what? I went to the zoo last week with my day care group. I loved the monkeys...probably because I live with two of them.

They've started digging the hole for our house (for you Texans, the hole is for the basement). Mommy says we should be in our house by next April. I'll get Daddy to put pictures of the progress up on my site.

Grand Lake, CO and a Reunion
Yes, we've been slacking lately. Over a week since I last posted anything.

So what's been going on in my world, you ask?

Hmmm....well we went to Grand Lake for the afternoon last Sunday. It is very pretty up there. Daddy says he went camping up in that area when he was a youngster. The lakes up there are some of the prettiest around. They are definitely much nice to the eye than the lakes around Denver.

Last night we went to the hospital where I was born for a lamaze class reunion. No one else from the class Mommy and Daddy attended showed up but there were plenty of people from other classes. I got to see all these other babies. Most of them were older than me, but you couldn't tell except they were eating cereal already.

Time for dinner.

Just an Update
Hello from Denver!

This week has been a very exciting and trying week. Tuesday, Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctor's office for my 2-month visit. The main purpose of this visit was so that I could get my shots. What a horrible experience. I had the doctor on one side and a nurse on the other...a total of 4 shot, 2 at a time, one in each leg. I was not a happy camper. I was in a very foul mood the next couple of days, and made life difficult for Mommy and Daddy. They were very patient and understanding, but I could tell they were wearing down. Fortunately, by Thursday morning, I was in a very good mood. Thursday I slept from 9:30 PM until 6:30 AM for my first full night of sleep (8+ hours that coincided witn Mommy and Daddy's sleep time). Friday and Saturday nights were also very good. Mommy is very happy that I am starting to sleep through the night.

Last Tuesday, after my doctor's appointment, Mommy and Daddy went to the design center to pick stuff out for our house. From what they told me, it is going to be very nice. We are even going to have wood floors in our entry way, the extended entry way, and in the kitchen. I can't wait to see it!

Yesterday, I watched the UT game against OSU with Mommy and Daddy. Did I not tell y'all that this Roy Williams kid is going to be a star? He is awesome! I can't wait until next Saturday for the Texas OU game. Daddy has told me all about this great rivalry. Can you believe that OU leapfrogged Texas in the AP poll? Texas will take care of that slight this Saturday.

How 'bout them Cowboys?!? Just when you think they will never win another game, they go out and beat a well respected Carolina Panther team, in OT no less. Emmitt was finally let loose, and showed he can still get it done.

I am very sleepy, it has been a long day....oops, I almost forgot...I went with Mommy, Daddy, and Molly for a walk yesterday evening on one of the greenbelts near our home. It was so nice out, and the views of the mountains were incredible...and then as we were almost home, the sun was setting, and that was really cool!

Chilly Here In Denver
Hi everyone (especially y'all Texans still basking in 90°F + temperatures),

I woke up this morning to a white wonderland! My first snow, can you believe it? And it's still September!

Mommy and Daddy aren't taking me outside, though. I have the sniffles right now. However, Daddy took several pictures of the snow for me, including one of my puppy, plus I get to look outside the window at it all. It's really cool.

Thanks to the lack of storage for this web site, Daddy is finally resizing all of the pictures. That means that as pictures are resized, they will move from the regular pictures directory and go into the thumbnails directory.

Enjoy the new pictures that we just put up. Time to watch football.

Brrrr
Brrrrr....it's mighty chilly up here in Denver. As I write this, it is 34° F outside. Mighty cold for my little body. We even have a 70% chance of snow tomorrow night. It was 95° F just last Sunday. Oh well, it looks like this could be fun. Mommy is dressing me in all these clothes I didn't even know I had. Long sleeves, pants, a hat...where did they all come from?

Daddy got back from Las Vegas last night, he seemed a bit tired from his travels. He told Mommy that he didn't win any money, but that he did get lots of good info to help further his career.

Life on the Ranch
Hi Family and Friends, Jacob here with another blog for you all to enjoy.

Life here on the ranch is full of fun and new and interesting things. For example, we just learned that my swing is also a recliner. So now when I swing, I can recline, which means my head is less likely to fall forward as I dose off to sleep.

I have also discovered this cool thing that hangs above my crib. It is my Winnie The Pooh mobile. It plays this really cool song, and all the animals move around.

Hot Hot Dallas
Well, me and Mommy have finally recovered from our trip to the desert otherwise known as Dallas.

We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to coming back at Thanksgiving, this time with Daddy. Speaking of Daddy, I finally got him to put the pictures from our trip up on the site. Don't forget to check them out.

Time to go to a BBQ, I chat with y'all later. Hook'em Horns...I almost forgot to mention that I got to watch my first University of Texas football game today. Daddy and I watched the game together. Daddy's Home!
Hi strangers!
I got a big surprise last Wednesday morning. After not seeing Daddy for over 25 hours in a row, he came home...and he stayed home Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday...and even the weekend too! Mommy and I were so happy to see him, and to have him home with us. It seemed like old times, even if he did sleep more than I did.

This past Saturday, Mommy, Daddy, & I went to a party at Daddy's project manager's house...it was up in the foothills at 8200 ft. It was very nice up there, everyone wanted to look at me and hold me. It was kind of chilly. I think Daddy said it was 55 degrees when we left to go back home. Anyway, I hope one day we can live in the mountains. It looks like it would be a lot of fun.

I've got to go now, Daddy wants the computer so that he can upload some new pictures.

I Miss My Daddy
Daddy has been working a lot lately. I wish he didn't have to work so much. It makes Mommy so unhappy, and that makes me sad, too. Besides, I miss him.

I heard him tell Mommy that it won't be much longer.

On a brighter note, Mommy has been taking a lot of pictures of me lately. As soon as Daddy is not working all of the time, I will have him put them out for everyone to see.

Hey Hey!
Hey, hey, whatta ya say?

What an exciting weekend! Mommy, Daddy, and I decided to go look at some houses down in Castle Rock (number 3 on the map) on Saturday. The builder had 2 model homes, and both were really cool (the Sterling and Stratton, and a floorplan that is brand new and cheaper)! I'd like either one of them. I don't know if Mommy and Daddy are serious about buying a house here, but I sure would like to have more room to play, and a yard for me and Molly.

After looking at the houses, we drove down to Colorado Springs and went to Garden of The Gods. That was very, very cool! We then went to Manitou Springs, which is just down the road from Garden of The Gods. In Manitou Springs we parked next to a park and a creek and walked around town. Then we had dinner at the historic Stagecoach Inn.

After dinner, Daddy thought that it would be a good idea to head west on Hwy 24 and then head north at Woodland Park on Hwy 67 to Deckers and then on to Sedalia. At Sedalia we would then be on Santa Fe which runs north to C-470 and is exit west from us. One problem. The map didn't indicate that Hwy 67 turned to dirt after Deckers. Fortunately, the main road along the South Platte River was still paved and the sign said it would take us to Hwy 285 around Conifer. So Mommy and Daddy decided to go that way. Unfortunately, this road did not stay paved for long, and we soon found ourselves on a dirt road. This dirt road followed the river all the way to the town of South Platte (according to the map). At this point, we headed across the Platte and started following the North Fork of the South Platte down through Foxton. A few miles past Foxton we hit a paved road where Daddy had to figure out which way to go and where the heck we where, as there were no road signs. Fortunately, Daddy was in Indian Guides and Cub Scouts and was able to locate where we were on the map. Now we were finally on our way home. It took over 3 hours to get home. It was a beautiful drive, too bad it was dark.

Wasssuuuppp
Yo, wasssup?

Hadn't written in a while, so I thought I would put pen to paper and tell y'all wassup (ok, fingers to keys).

Anyway, this week has been verry good, and a lot of fun. I've been home with Mommy all week since Daddy went back to work. We've had lots of fun, just me, Mommy, Molly, and Denton. We even found time to have lunch with Daddy 3 times this week. I miss Daddy.

I am getting so much mail, I can hardly keep up! I'd like to thank everyone for their cards, gifts, and greetings...it is fun getting stuff!

Mommy says that it is time to eat, so until later....

Daddy is Back to Work
Daddy went back to work this morning. Mommy and I were very sad, so was Daddy.

I really miss Daddy. I hope that he can come home soon. I like it when he is home.

First Time in The Mountains
What a fun weekend we had! I got to the mountains for the first time in my young life. I am sooo glad that Mommy and Daddy decided to move here.

We (Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Tracy, Uncle Steven, Grandma & Raul) drove up to Breckenridge on Friday and just hung out and relaxed. We went to dinner with cousin Stuart, who lives in Breckenridge. Friday evening, a short rain storm blew through and cooled things off from the mid 70's to about 60 degrees in a matter of minutes. It felt really good outisde in the cool air. I can't wait until I am old enough to start snowboarding. Those runs looked really cool, even without snow on them.

On Saturday, Mommy, Aunt Tracy, Uncle Steven & I headed back to Denver, because Mommy and Aunt Tracy weren't feeling too good. Daddy, Grandma, and Raul went 4-wheeling with Daddy's friends Zach and Alisa. The went over Georgia Pass. Daddy said that is was a lot of fun.

New Video Camera
Good evening!

I learned something very important tonight...don't let Daddy go to Best Buy by himself. He'll spend, spend, spend. Fortunately, Mommy and I were with him. Anyway, we got a Sony DCR-TRV520 Digital Handycam. It is a digital video camera. Now, Mommy and Daddy and I can make our own movies and put them on the computer for everyone to see!

Today, we also went for a walk. Molly went along this time. It was a bit hot outside, so it was a short walk around the block. I still had fun.

BTW, there are two new picture of me in the Pictures section. Hopefully Daddy will add them to the picture-book soon.

New Pics
Guess what? 5 new pictures are now available. Maybe someday Daddy will get around to reducing the filesize of these darned things...maybe even creating an online picture-book (hint...hint).

Doctor's Report
Hi everyone!

Mommy & Daddy took me to see the doctor today. Well, not really the doctor, but the PA. The doctor wanted to have me weigh in and see how Mommy was doing with feeding me. I guess Mommy's milk really came in this week, because I weighed 9 lbs. 8 oz.! That is up from 8 lbs. 13.5 oz. at our appointment this past Monday. I am almost six ounces heavier than I was at birth...not bad, eh?

Hmmm...what else have we done today? Well, we also went for a walk in my super cool stroller. We walked over to the brand new library that is across the street from us. I can't wait to use it. For now, I was content in sleeping while Mom & Dad rolled me around.

Time for supper...talk to y'all soon.
