I'm Coming To Town
Wow, more pictures! Can't wait to see all you Texans this weekend.

BTW, for those of you Netscape users out there...Daddy prefers Microsoft technologies. In fact, he says that is what pays the bills. So take a peep at this site with IE.

Daddy's Home!
Hi strangers!
I got a big surprise last Wednesday morning. After not seeing Daddy for over 25 hours in a row, he came home...and he stayed home Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday...and even the weekend too! Mommy and I were so happy to see him, and to have him home with us. It seemed like old times, even if he did sleep more than I did.

This past Saturday, Mommy, Daddy, & I went to a party at Daddy's project manager's house...it was up in the foothills at 8200 ft. It was very nice up there, everyone wanted to look at me and hold me. It was kind of chilly. I think Daddy said it was 55 degrees when we left to go back home. Anyway, I hope one day we can live in the mountains. It looks like it would be a lot of fun.

I've got to go now, Daddy wants the computer so that he can upload some new pictures.

I Miss My Daddy
Daddy has been working a lot lately. I wish he didn't have to work so much. It makes Mommy so unhappy, and that makes me sad, too. Besides, I miss him.

I heard him tell Mommy that it won't be much longer.

On a brighter note, Mommy has been taking a lot of pictures of me lately. As soon as Daddy is not working all of the time, I will have him put them out for everyone to see.

Hey Hey!
Hey, hey, whatta ya say?

What an exciting weekend! Mommy, Daddy, and I decided to go look at some houses down in Castle Rock (number 3 on the map) on Saturday. The builder had 2 model homes, and both were really cool (the Sterling and Stratton, and a floorplan that is brand new and cheaper)! I'd like either one of them. I don't know if Mommy and Daddy are serious about buying a house here, but I sure would like to have more room to play, and a yard for me and Molly.

After looking at the houses, we drove down to Colorado Springs and went to Garden of The Gods. That was very, very cool! We then went to Manitou Springs, which is just down the road from Garden of The Gods. In Manitou Springs we parked next to a park and a creek and walked around town. Then we had dinner at the historic Stagecoach Inn.

After dinner, Daddy thought that it would be a good idea to head west on Hwy 24 and then head north at Woodland Park on Hwy 67 to Deckers and then on to Sedalia. At Sedalia we would then be on Santa Fe which runs north to C-470 and is exit west from us. One problem. The map didn't indicate that Hwy 67 turned to dirt after Deckers. Fortunately, the main road along the South Platte River was still paved and the sign said it would take us to Hwy 285 around Conifer. So Mommy and Daddy decided to go that way. Unfortunately, this road did not stay paved for long, and we soon found ourselves on a dirt road. This dirt road followed the river all the way to the town of South Platte (according to the map). At this point, we headed across the Platte and started following the North Fork of the South Platte down through Foxton. A few miles past Foxton we hit a paved road where Daddy had to figure out which way to go and where the heck we where, as there were no road signs. Fortunately, Daddy was in Indian Guides and Cub Scouts and was able to locate where we were on the map. Now we were finally on our way home. It took over 3 hours to get home. It was a beautiful drive, too bad it was dark.

Pictures soon.

Wasssuuuppp
Yo, wasssup?

Hadn't written in a while, so I thought I would put pen to paper and tell y'all wassup (ok, fingers to keys).

Anyway, this week has been verry good, and a lot of fun. I've been home with Mommy all week since Daddy went back to work. We've had lots of fun, just me, Mommy, Molly, and Denton. We even found time to have lunch with Daddy 3 times this week. I miss Daddy.

I am getting so much mail, I can hardly keep up! I'd like to thank everyone for their cards, gifts, and greetings...it is fun getting stuff!

Mommy says that it is time to eat, so until later....

Granny and Poppy
Grandma & Poppy went home this morning. I was sad to see them go. I really enjoyed their company. I was up eating when they left for the airport, so I was able to see them one last time.

Yesterday I met my nanny. I think I am going to like her. I played possum and acted like I was sleeping while she held me.

First Time in The Mountains
What a fun weekend we had! I got to the mountains for the first time in my young life. I am sooo glad that Mommy and Daddy decided to move here.

We (Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Tracy, Uncle Steven, Grandma & Raul) drove up to Breckenridge on Friday and just hung out and relaxed. We went to dinner with cousin Stuart, who lives in Breckenridge. Friday evening, a short rain storm blew through and cooled things off from the mid 70's to about 60 degrees in a matter of minutes. It felt really good outisde in the cool air. I can't wait until I am old enough to start snowboarding. Those runs looked really cool, even without snow on them.

On Saturday, Mommy, Aunt Tracy, Uncle Steven & I headed back to Denver, because Mommy and Aunt Tracy weren't feeling too good. Daddy, Grandma, and Raul went 4-wheeling with Daddy's friends Zach and Alisa. The went over Georgia Pass. Daddy said that is was a lot of fun.

Take a look at some pictures from our mountain trip.

Bye,
-Jacob

Aunt Tracy and Uncle Steven Are Here
A big Texas-sized welcome to Colorado for Aunt Tracy and Uncle Steven! They flew in today, and I am soooo happy to finally meet them!

Uncle Steven was telling me all about the Great State of Texas and the Texas Longhorns. I can't wait to visit that place, and see these Longhorns! Daddy tells me that he might have tickets to so the Longhorns play football against the Colorado Buffaloes. I sure hope I get to go!

Aunt Tracy is so nice. She even fed me my bottle minutes after meeting me.

Boy oh boy, we have so much planned to do while they are here. We'll be driving up to Boulder to visit myGreat-Aunt Laurel, and driving to Breckenridge to visit Daddy and Aunt Tracy's cousin, Stuart.

Tonight, we all had dinner at home and Zach joined us too. It was lots of fun. Well, I am getting sleepy now, so till tomorrow...bye.
-Jacob

p.s. For those of you that don't know, Texas is the greatest state in the Union, and part of Colorado, which ranks a close 2nd or 3rd, was once part of the Republic of Texas. Why do you think so many of us Texans feel so at home in Colorado?

New Video Camera
Good evening!

I learned something very important tonight...don't let Daddy go to Best Buy by himself. He'll spend, spend, spend. Fortunately, Mommy and I were with him. Anyway, we got a Sony DCR-TRV520 Digital Handycam. It is a digital video camera. Now, Mommy and Daddy and I can make our own movies and put them on the computer for everyone to see!

Today, we also went for a walk. Molly went along this time. It was a bit hot outside, so it was a short walk around the block. I still had fun.

BTW, there are two new picture of me in the Pictures section. Hopefully Daddy will add them to the picture-book soon.

Nighty-night.

Thanks Daddy!
